Closed captions allow viewers to read what is being said on screen and are typically used for accessibility reasons by those who are deaf or have hearing impairments. We’ve created a tutorial that you can follow to easily create and add closed captions yourself.

This week is Deaf Awareness Week, an annual initiative coordinated by the UK Council on deafness. Today we want to talk about closed captions and why they’re so important – not only to people with hearing problems.
