Meet Management

Chris Broderick

Founder

Chris started the company in 1982, building a 24-track recording in the basement of a 4- story town house in the centre of Reading. Matinée still operates from the same premises till today. Chris is now retired and has handed the reigns over to his daughter and son in law. He still takes an active interest in the business and is happy to advise from time to time.

Lauren Stott

Managing Director

Having worked at Matinée in various departments over the years, Lauren officially joined the business as Marketing and General Manager in 2019. After a decade of experience working in Marketing Management within various industries including localisation, fashion and pensions, the time was right to take on the family business. Lauren’s passion lies in creating a positive working experience, for both clients and employees.

Callum Stott

Sales Director

Callum joined Matinée in 2019, starting a new career in multilingual services after nearly a decade as an international Events Manager. With a growing passion for accessibility, Callum will help you maximise the potential for your project with his expert guidance. Away from Matinée, Callum enjoys rugby, golf and spending time with his family.

We (Westhill Communications) recently worked with Matinee Multilingual on a Portuguese voiceover recording for an animation, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. Kayleigh, who managed our project, was an absolute star. She was so friendly and professional, always keeping us in the loop without overwhelming us with too much information. Matinée Multilingual has done an outstanding job sourcing voice talent and recording voiceovers for 20 language versions of an animated health education video. I’ve particularly appreciated their persistence in identifying voice actors for some less common languages (Rohingya, Karen, Khmer) that they originally thought they would not be able to deliver. They have been responsive, flexible, patient throughout a long process. And most importantly, Matinée has consistently provided top quality voice recordings. I would not hesitate to work with Matinée again on future projects.
