English voice-overs for a television documentary.

Client

Little Dot Studios is an award-winning production company and social media agency with teams working out of its London, Los Angeles, Munich, Sydney and Melbourne offices. Founded in 2013, the certified B Corp company has worked with some of the biggest TV and movie studios and brands like Coca-Cola, Netflix, Unicef and Santander.

For this creative project, the client required three voice-overs in English for a television documentary available on Channel 5.

Brief

Provide tailored English voice-overs for three short clips of Mandarin which appears in a Channel 5 television documentary hosted by British historian and popular TV presenter Dan Snow – within 3 working days.

Our project in question was meant to supplement The Terracotta Army with Dan Snow, a documentary that explores the amazing story of one of the greatest archaeological treasures.

Solution

As the project required a short turnaround time, our talent manager acted quickly with casting to ensure the voice artists we put forward aligned perfectly with the project brief.

We discussed the requirements for style, tone, and delivery and put forward RJ B, Graham R and Kieran PC. We’ve worked with a lot of our voice talents for many years, and pride ourselves on the working relationships we have with them, which enabled us to move quickly to understand voice artist availability for the project.  

The client agreed they were a great match, so the project manager moved ahead with recording and post-production work. All three recordings were edited by our in-house audio engineer and delivered ahead of the deadline.
