Japanese Voice-Over for IMG Studios

Project description

IMG Studios is a global sports and culture company operating in over 100 cities worldwide specialising in a wide range of services from event management to consulting.

In need of a Japanese voice over for an animation, IMG approached us for the project which featured a Japanese racehorse named Forever Young, a thoroughbred with major wins such as the Saudi Derby and the UAE Derby in 2024.

What was Forever Young tipped to win next? The world’s richest horse racing event held annually in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – the 2025 Saudi Cup.

After speaking with the client and understanding their requirements, we jumped straight into it and recommended several Japanese voice artists to capture the anticipation surrounding Forever Young’s race. After listening to multiple demos, IMG chose to work with Dai T.  A versatile Japanese voice artist, Dai has worked with the ITV, BBC, The Louvre, St Paul’s Cathedral and Windsor Castle.

Not too long after, in what was described as one of the most dramatic finishes on 22 February 2025, Forever Young chased down his competition and won the Saudi Cup. 

Galloping away with a 10 million US dollar prize, Forever Young’s victory was celebrated with another animation feature by IMG – once again engaging Dai for the recording session.
